Mowing the Fields; Keeping Open Spaces Cleared

Picture
About ten years ago
Henry Kolm, Henry Grandgent
and myself (John) landed a small tractor (with a big heart)
on the shores of Baker.
With the Park's blessing
we set out on a course of
management that called
for mowing the fields and trimming ladder limbs.  This preserves vistas by maintaining open areas, and reduces danger of fire.
